Welcome to Ayurvedic Health Holidays in India. God's Own Country. Here, an entire range of fascinating experiences awaits your body, mind and soul. Experiences that will revitalize every facet of your being. And help you begin life a new… This unique health holiday opportunity is based on Ayurveda, the time-tested, ancient Indian sister of medicine. Ayurveda offers you two kinds of holiday options, Rejuvenate and Therapeutic.

Ayurveda, Harmony of Body, Mind and Soul
Ayurveda evolved around 600 BC in India. This new system of medicine stressed on the prevention of body ailments in addition to curing them. Followed by the Dravidians and Aryans alike. Ayurveda has been practiced ever sine. Today, it's a unique, indispensable branch of medicine - a complete natural healing system that depends on the diagnosis of your body's homours - vata, pitta and kapha - to achieve the right balance. Ayurveda believes in the treatment of not just the affected part, but also the individual as a whole. Making the natural way to refresh you, elimate all toxic imbalances from the body and thus regain resistance and good health.

Monsoon, The Ideal Time For Rejuvenation
Traditional texts reveal that the monsoon is the best season for rejuvenation programmes. The atmosphere remains dust-free and cool, opening the pores of the body to the maximum, making it most receptive to herbal oils and therapy.

The Land of Ayurveda, Kerala.
Kerala's equable climate, natural abundance of forests (with a wealth of herbs and medicinal plants) and the cool monsoon season (June - November) are best suited for Ayurveda's curative and restorative packages. In fact, today, Kerala is the only State in India, which practices this system of medicine with absolute dedication.

REJUVENATION TOURS
Ayurveda, the 3000 years old Indian system of medicine has global acceptance today. Ayurveda is the world's most eco-friendly system of medicine, since it does not use any material, which is unfriendly to the ecosystem.

This is the only system of medicine in the world, which has methods for the total rejuvenation of the body and mind. The following procedures improve your physical and mental activity measurably, using botanical preparations.

Ananda - In The Himalayas

A fashionable spot in which to unwind and literally get high. This wellness sanctuary situated in a restored royal palace in the Himalayan foothills claims, among other things, to have the world's oldest billiards table. It offers a blend of therapeutic treatments based on traditional Ayurveda, yoga and meditation. The spa also offers the latest European and Thai treatments to purify the body and soothe the senses. There are 20 therapy rooms along with yoga venues, and hydrotherapy, relaxation and fitness areas. Perched in the hills above the holy city of Rishikesh on the Ganges, Ananda is a short day's drive, 260km from Delhi. If your wallet is up to it, charter a helicopter, or fly to Dehradun and do the one-hour scenic drive up. Among the treatment options are, the signature "Ananda Touch" focusing on the shoulders, neck and upper back, and the ayurvedic "Panchkarma", a five-way therapy to correct imbalances.

Coconut Lagoon

At the private and upscale Coconut Lagoon (accessible only by boats), run by the same group at Kumarakom, there's a sense of style and tradition in the construction of the Heritage Bungalows and Heritage Mansions set in verdant lawns criss-crossed by canals and waterways. The resort has fine spa facilities and treatments and is an excellent jump-off point for backwater cruises. This is a resort that has very much set the pace.

Spice Village

Further up the hills in the green tea estates and jungles surrounding Periyar Lake and its elephants is Casino's Spice Village. It's back to basics here but in comfort. As the hotel likes to point out, "Air conditioning? Unnecessary? piped music is no substitute for birdsong." There are 52 cottages set in eight generous acres of hillside.
